About PrepGates

PrepGates is an independent GATE preparation resource. We publish free previous year question papers, syllabus breakdowns and exam-pattern guides, and sell optional study material and test series for candidates who want structured practice.

What we publish

Every paper page is written against the official GATE syllabus for the current cycle and reviewed each year when the organising institute updates it. Weightage tables are derived from recent question papers and are labelled as indicative, because weightage genuinely varies year to year.

How we make it

Material is written by engineers who have taken the exam and reviewed against the official syllabus before publishing. Where we are uncertain, we say so rather than guessing. An exam resource that is confidently wrong costs a candidate marks.

What we are not

We are not affiliated with the IITs, IISc, or the GATE organising institute. We do not sell leaked or unofficial question papers, and we do not guarantee ranks or admissions. For official notifications, dates and results, always refer to https://gate2027.iitm.ac.in.
